Branston pickle corndogs

Ingredients

  • Plain Flour - 120.00 g
  • Cornmeal - 150.00 g
  • Bicarbonate of Soda - 2.00 tsp
  • Salt - 1.00 tsp
  • Whole Milk - 350.00 ml
  • Vegetable Oil - 2.00 tbsp
  • Egg - 1.00 Whole
  • Branston Piclke - 3.00 tbsp
  • Hot Dog - 6.00 Whole
  • Steps

    1. Mix your flour, cornmeal, bicarbonate of soda and salt together in a bowl.
    2. Whisk together your milk, vegetable oil, egg and BRANSTON!
    3. Combine your wet and dry ingredients to form a batter (like the thickness of American pancake batter).
    4. Skewer your hotdogs and dust them in cornflour.
    5. With the help of a tumbler glass, dunk your hotdogs into the Branston batter.
    6. Fry them in a large pan of oil at 190°C
    7. BE CAREFUL. Once puffed and golden, remove from the oil onto kitchen roll to drain off excess
